Those are on the inside. This spider is very much male.Seems female to me, based on what I think are spermathecae. Could be mistaken, though. I'm not very practiced at ventral sexing, to tell the truth.

I've never heard this but I'd be interested in an article stating it.I remember reading (I don't remember where) that the small circular patch of "hairs" are actually mini spinnerettes that aid in the making of a sperm web. Correct me if I'm wrong, confirm it if I'm right...
