Great animals (especially Scarabaeoidea and Curculionidae beetles).

The picture with that flying (?) wasp is stunning :clap:

What is that armored ant like thing right below the pics of the katydid and right above the bugs that T-Hawk is mentioning?

excellent i like them all some are so strange looking i like the big beetles like the rhino looking ones.

Oh, and I see that some specimens in your school collection were pinned incorrectly. You shouldn't use pins on pronotum and left elytra when you pin beetles. Only right elytra can be used. And your school should buy entomological pins they are much smaller :)

But as I said. Grrrr... I envy you that you can collect such amazing insects outdoor. I start to hate temperate climate :8o

I believe the armored ant someone was asking about is actually a queen of the Atta sp. of leaf cutter ants they are huge around 1 - 1.5" long they have a crazy set of jaws on em too :), i too have a cool collection i will post some pics of if its alright that i post on your thread that is.
