You have some nice widows! I used to keep 2 or 3 L Mactans when I was a kid. Where did you get yours? :)

What an awesome selection of Latrodectus spiders you have! Congrats! I live in Riverside, Ca and the city is literally crawling with L.hesperus in alleyways, vacant lots, fields, parks, residences, etc. There is no shortage of them and to me that pleases much. I am convinced Latrodectus is one of the most sucessful terrestrial creatures in the world. Especially living in the States. Latrodectus is my second most beloved eight-legged friend behind Centruroides exilicauda/sculpteratus. I am usually caring for or raising between a couple to upwards of several L.hesperus at any given moment. Never bred them because of their natural quantity in my area and release the eggsacks of fertile females in an open field or lot, usually set among the leafy thin branches of trees. And hope the best for the next generation to hatch and parachute to new life. Anyways best of luck!

thank you! Yeah I love Latrodectus to. Menavodi and hesperus is probably my 2 favorite spices. But bishopi is really beautiful to but I havent kept that one.

I wish Latrodectus was crawling around in my yard to... so I could mate and set all the slings free after a while.. but I cant do that here :(
