Hey everyone. The bugs have really started coming out here in Ithaca now. I'm posting some of my insect pics from the woods near my apartment.

Taxi-Cab ladybug hunting aphids.

Honey Bee in Flight

Tipulid on Tree

Damselfly

Crab Spider Eats Solitary Bee

One of these twigs is actually a Geometrid caterpillar.

Eyed Elater! Never seen a live one up here before.

The caterpillar's head is in the bottom left of the picture, it is holding onto the stick on the right hand side with its last pair of prolegs. I shoot with a Canon Rebel XT with a 90mm Tamron Macro lens. Thanks!

I like the photos, especially the ladybug and the click beetle!
Isn't the second one a soldier beetle (Cantharidae)?

Yes, you're right I posted the wrong caption, it is a Cantharis.
