i have two B.klaasi's, had them for two weeks both about 1cm and a half, but one likes to dig i mean alot! most of the time its little pot just has a wall of dirt up one side and it'll be sat literaly on the plastic on the bottom looking chuffed lol, but it moves it all back the nxt day so its flat and then the nxt day builds 'the wall' ?? yet iv yet to see her move atall :p

and my other one hasnt bothered digging atall, spends alot of the time walking about up the sides and all over??
thought it was too wet but its realy not?

there both kept in the same conditions in little pots in a heated incubator tank?

any suggestions?

or just any stories of what yours are like?

I don't have any B. klaasi (on the wish list), but have 11 other slings to juvies from 5 other Brachy species. Even within a 'standard' they all are individuals. Mine seem to go through 'phases' as well. i.e. both boehmeis stayed burrowed for awhile. Then one decided to become a display animal. A few months later, the other one is, too. Even sac mates don't follow the same molt schedule and have their individual idiosyncrasies.

Have fun watching them grow!

i got a adult female B. klaasi and what u describe is nothing unusual

my girl has months where she never shows something of her except the tips of her legs, also she doesnt dig or anything the like, sometimes she doesnt even eat for months

then there are times when shes moving through the whole tank, even climbing as ur small one did

i got my girl since 4 years and she suprised me this year with a new behaviour
she likes to bath in the warm light which she never did b4
same tank, nothing changed, does this regularly after about 30minutes after i switch the light on

to sum it up, dont worry
ur Ts are acting normal

Greetz

Ps: a pic of her, just if ur interested
click
bodylenght about 2,5 inch

well just to update on this, i think i may have been sent the wrong spider, the 'climey' one looks sooooo diferent longer skinnier legs with a feint stripey pattern on the rump, they arent from the same cluch i know that for sure, as i asked the online dealer i bought from both from, different breeders alltogether

buuuuut...

i't just didnt seem happy the other seems to be acting normal but this one as i said before just sits on the side also it seemed just sad and hadnt eaten since i got it (not normal for a 1cm sling) but i tried once again to put pre killed food in there, and the bugger escaped, jogged right up my arm :p thats when i thought maybe its the wrong type, maybe its some kind of arborial, explains the behaviour, so i 're-potted' it into a sligtly bigger pot that has just enough room if its a terestrial and theres abit of cork up the middle to climb if its not.

but its seems realy happy now, i upped the humidity and it ate yesterday for the first time, spends most of its time sat on the cork

I'm kinda excited, but as it was sold to me as b.klassi I'm abit annoyed, but I'm a curious person so I'll keep the little bugger :p
