everything about her is nice . but she has bad dinner faring. LOL. she eats like a pig. often up to 5-6 crix will be eaten by her in one big silk crix ball. and these 5-6 crix will not last long to ease her hunger. thats explain why she is this size in only 7mths

B. albopilosum seems to grow faster than some other Brachypelma spp., but I can't any Brachypelma spp. growing that much in 7 months, even if power fed.

Are you sure it is only 7 months old? I currently have two that are about 1/4" and even at that size, it is 2 months between molts. 5 months from now I see them being about 1". At the size in your hand, I would guess that you have been seeing 7-12 months between molts, which makes me doubt that it is actually only 7 months old. Powerfeeding can speed things up, but not that much.

Even my P. murinus, who I received 5 months ago at 1/4", is only 2 inches, and they are an extremely fast grower (much faster than any Brachypelma spp).

I too would believe this T to be far older than 7 months... what have you fed her? Steroids? ;)

seroius!! when i got her last year it was about a month old. i post at my 1st ever post at this board. it was only as big as my thumbnail. i am surprise that it grow that fast too. one thing i gave it plently to drink. plenty to eat.(1week eats about 15-18crix), and my country is pretty warm all year long. so does that explain why it grow so fast? and the fuuny thing is that i find them to molt when ever the chance came. my friend have 2 curly that is same age as mine but it about 2/3 the size only. he does not feed them like i do. i am very sure that my curly is 7mths old. btw i dunno does this affect the grow, i feed mainly fat female crix to her. :)

You don't happen to have a moult record and temperatures + feeding record for your curly? It would be interesting to see the effects of all three on your tiny... (well not so tiny anymore) T. :)

Are you sure it's a female? She does seem a bit big for only seven months old but it's not impossible. I have a male that went from 1/4" to 4.5" in about 10 months and my female, while I don't know how old she is, is around 4.5" now and has molted twice in 3.5 months. Guess all I'm saying is with elevated temps and unlimited food supply this kind of growth is very possible. Nice spider StOrM.

I power feed and keep mine at 80 degrees and mine are nowhere near that size. I've had them since 2nd instar, and they are about 7 or 8 months old now. Pretty amazing that yours is that size now.

Reason why they grew so fast is because in our location where we're practically near the equator. We have a FLAT humitity of 75-85% and a temp of 25-30degrees celius.
I used to have a male curly that hit 6.5". If i dont remmber wrongly, i had it for less den a yr, and i got it as a 1" ling.
