She's about 53 inches, I tried to measure her last shed so I didn't have to straighten her out, so about 4 ft 5 in.

Measuring the shed of a snake is not an indicator of the actual length of the snake. The shed stretches as much as 35% on removal so your snake could be as short as 35 inches.
Try using a string worked down/along the body as the snake slithers through your grip if you really want an accurate measurement.

Alright, but just holding her up I can tell you she is at least in the middle 40's of inches. When I measured the shed I left slack in it and didn't stretch it tight because of the factor you mentioned.
Try this "snake measuring" program ... http://www.serpwidgets.com/Apps/apps.html. I find it quite accurate.

Awesome! I have a ball python and I just love her. She's only 2 feet but she's gettin big. Yours is beautiful! I can't wait till mine is that size.
