Had the girly out today for cleaning and photos and wanted to share. She's the snake that started it all for me and is definitely my favorite even though she's "just" a "normal ball python." She's like a little kitten.

Periscoping:

Her cage:

How she sits on me is always one of two ways: "the scarf" as demonstrated here:

Or the "in your face" where she rests on the bridge of my nose for extended periods. She typically does this when I'm trying to work on the computer (of course). Please excuse my hair and lack of makeup. I figured spider people wouldn't care, and it is cleaning day. I dont have to look good. -lol-

Very pretty girl and big too! The periscoping pic is too cute. My son has a pastel ball python that is still a juvenile.

Gorgeous snake! I have a pastel I think. How long is yours and how often does she shed? Mine is about 3.5ft and has shed 4 times in the last 6 months.

My son's pastel is a little over 2 foot long and sheds every 6-7 weeks.

Normal ball pythons are never "just" normal ball pythons to me. :) They are just as pretty as all the morphs. Every normal is different pattern wise, and you can buy them for like $15. But every blue eyed Lucy looks the same and they're high end. Normals are underrated just like rose hair tarantulas. XD

Yeah, GORGEOUS! -lol- They're "high end" because of genetics and how difficult that gene combo can be. If they were naturally occurring they'd still be gorgeous but they'd be a helluva lot easier to breed and more people would have them. I agree with you that the normals are HIGHLY underrated, though. I have always loved normals the best and enjoy looking at all their pattern variations. They're like little scaley snowflakes - each is unique. :)
