So, I've been considering moving to Germany for many reasons: School fees, driving laws, social norms, etc: But one of the biggest reasons has to be the amount of Tarantula hobbyists there. I've heard that there are TONS of hobbyists and expos in Germany, and I've been wondering: What would I need to do in order to take an Ephebopus Cyanognathus (Blue Fang) Tarantula from the U.S.A to Germany? I'm struggling to find clear answers.

I suspect the hassle for import/export you’re better off buying one once you arrive

course if you have strong attachment to this one that’s different

You might try contacting this agency for details:

Rules on Importation of other animals
If your pet is a snake or any other reptile or exotic animal, you need to ensure that it is not considered an endangered or protected species. The German Embassy or Consulate in your home country will readily provide you with advice on its protection status. Keep in mind that only certain entry points are allowed to act as entry points for special species.

They might be able to provide you with more info.

I do have a very strong attachment.
Understood- good luck on that, and let us know what you learn when you speak to the Germans. If you do move there, you'll have to go to the largest exotic animal show in the world. You can get anything there.

German here. It is indeed very easy to get Ts with reaonable pricing here. But your other reasons are questionable for me at least. Especially "social norms"....whatever that means...anyway...welcome to Germany..i hope you don't mind high taxation and expensive costs for living (energy, gas, food).
If i could, i would move to the US, most likely Texas. Let's trade citizenship + residence....:D
