Nice.

That moth is beautiful. So is the cicada.

Many of those bugs were probably selected because somebody decided to put in two hours to the project. Cameras don't hardly begin to account for what nature has capable of.

Pretty cool. The cicada looks like a jewel. I wikipedia'd the bulldog ant because I fail to imagine how it can kill humans, didn't see that fact mentioned, but found this:

if it is cut in two, a battle begins between the head and the tail. The head seizes the tail in its teeth, and the tail defends itself bravely by stinging the head: the battle may last for half an hour, until they die or are dragged away by other ants. This contest takes place every time the experiment is tried.

It's funny. I see tons of worker termites around old dried paper, wood or fencing outside but those aren't the ones that annoy me - it's that blasted queen! I dig and dig and dig some more and I can't find her! :wall:

That stick bug... v. cool. I'd love to have one of those someday. Maybe a smaller version. I could put it in my girlfriend's hair and watch her freak out. lol

Umm... Termites self-promote, right?
i know some do, not sure about all. also, not sure if a basic worker can promote up to a ~protoqueen to make a queen or not

i also think the selection was heavily visually biased. more about different crazy life habits would have been neat
