Mosquitos and pathogens?

I have a question which may turn out to be just a stupid one but maybe some people can help me on this one. Mosquito transmitted diseases and parasites enter the adult mosquito and are then transferred right? Is it possible for offspring to be born with virus and/or parasites in them simply because the adult carried said pathogen?

Yes .... West Nile virus, Dengue and a La Crosse encephalitis can be passed through transovarial transmission. There are other viruses that I can't recall at the moment.
