Hi there all...

I've been searching the internet for some research or facts on this and couldn't find anything...

Will a mosquito repellent plug be harmful to my tarantula and scorpions??

It been raining like crazy here in South Africa and the amount of mosquitos is crazy...

I'm no expert but I would say there would be some kind of pesticide in them that may hurt your T's and scorpions.

There are many different repellents that function in different ways. Some may have a negative impact on tarantulas, other may not bother them at all. For example, some so-called repellents don't actually repel the mosquito, but block its ability to recognize prey. This might create problems with tarantulas being able to recognize their prey - at least in terms of chemoreception. However, captive tarantulas thoroughly conditioned to pounce on crickets on a regular basis may not use chemoreception as much as just motion. But for someone trying to breed tarantulas, chemoreception-blockers might cause problems.
