I have what appears to be a GIANT mosquito in my house. This thing has over a 2.5 inch legs span. Can mosquitoes get that big??????

Sorry, I don't have a digital camera, but this thing looks too big to fly. It is just sitting on the wall of my living room.

It sounds like a harmless Crane Fly, of the genus Tipula. Take a look at this link for a picture.

Wow you got it in the first try! :worship: I wish I had some sort of prize or something for you. You can pick whether I let it go outside or feed it to a T.

I have never seen one before, guess I should get out more. :8o

What? You mean there isn't a prize? Dang! :) I'm going to recommend letting it go. I'd hate to be responsible for introducing some sort of parasite to one of your T's. :)

You do realize that cranefly larvae are lawn pests...

I like the really BIG craneflies we get around here, wingspans of 3.5 inches.
