Morio worms...

Ok so I was feeding my T's yesterday bar my B.vagans as its in premolt but I had his top off the container as I was refilling his water. As I went to feed another T the morio slipped out of the tweezers and dropped into my vagans setup I tried to grab it out but it went into my vagans burrow and I couldn't retrieve it. So I've researched if they are a threat to my T in premolt all I could find was that they will eat literally anything ( I'm guessing a T would be in that range) so my question is... Is it a threat? As its solo I guess it will pupate soon and transform to a beetle (anyone know a rough timeframe of this process) I need some reassurance as I don't wanna dig up its enclosure as he's happy as larry with the setup plus he's quite heavy premolt, is there any other way around the problem of removal if it is a threat?

Thanks for the replies

Main worry is its in heavy premolt I'm expecting anyday now and I'm at work so for all I know he coulda started moulting plus I don't wanna stress him before he molts incase it causes negative effects plus there's a lot of sub to dig out... Basically I'm just worried about my T either way... If I leave the morio it may kill my T, if I remove it I'm worried of the negative effect I could have on my T

simple, take it out.. better to be SAFE then SORRY

Molting begins when your tarantula pops its carapace, there was a recent incident where a rosie had flipped over to molt, was turned on its legs due to a misunderstanding, finally turned on its back agian and it still molted out without incident. So if it isn't on it back yet when you get home go ahead and move it into another container and dig out the superworm.

The chances are it'll just dig down to the bottom and stay there. The metamorphosis isn't fast enough to happen before or during the T's molt (seeing as it's in heavy premolt) but sometime shortly after, depends how close it is to the pupal stage. I'd still try and dig him out. Like hamhock said, if it's not on its back yet, go ahead.

would you rather alter the molt process, or take a chance and gamble with your Ts life? :/
