Baby jumpers are amazingly cute. Getting close up shots makes them look like they are HUGE.

good luck with the brood. I wish you no or very few losses.

The fruit fly is a small D. melanogaster so it's pretty small, but I swear they've already gotten noticeably bigger in the couple days since they've emerged.

they can grow fast in first stages. And those fruit flies are usefull with jumpers.

we don’t tend to reccomend them with slings, because we can use pinhead crickets.

but with baby jumpers, sticking uo high nesr their nest, the flies help get the first energy burst. Its like a nintendo game with level ups. I wish jumpers were ten times their size 🤪

everyone would have one. And no one would ever fear spiders again.

I wish I had a good source of pinhead crickets but I really don't care for breeding crickets and neither does my partner.

Luckily fruit flies have worked great for my last 2 clutches, and they are pretty easy to culture.

Spoodlings fed on D. melanogaster communally until they started side-eyeing each other as food, at which point i separated them into their own individual enclosures and fed them the larger D. hydei fruit flies until they were willing to take small mealworms, crickets or black soldierfly larvae.

And yes the jumper slings are so much fun! I love seeing them take flying leaps and catch flies mid air, dangling with their catch Mission: Impossible style! They're a blast

Honestly though thank you for the encouragement. I'm just grateful this community exists. FB, IG etc even Reddit these days gives me hives. Everyone here has been awesome 😎
