Same thing (hence the quotation marks). Albino = no melanin, a definition that first described albinism in creatures that only have one pigment type. In snakes it's more complicated, but the definition sticks.

Ummm...Is sorry to be a pain, but can you explain that in detail? Like what is melanin?? I have the same snake and would love to know how it gots its name. Thanks

melanin is the black pigment in the snakes skin if I am not mistaken.
