:cool: Speedy is so funny, sulcatas eat alot and she is deffinetly a chow hound.... :D I fill her dish few times in the morn, then so goes outside to graze for few hrs, then at night she gets her dish filled a few more times....

:cool: Well time to bask for awhile, then on to the yellow squash, strawberries, leaf lettuce and also the watermelon.... Then outside to graze for awhile... hehehe!!

Whoever had this tortoise before you obviously gave it a lot of animal protein, as shown by the pyramiding scutes in its shell.

Actually, sulcatas generally do get some pyramiding around that size... its usually not a big deal, but that does look a little beyond what they typically get. I highly recommend you check out Sulcata Station for dietary info.

:cool: Well the pyramiding happend while in someone elses care, they was feeding speedy dog food and monkey chow alot and then some greens, she is now on a proper diet as you can see... I have her on a all veggie diet with some fruits and also lots of natural grazing time outside as well...Plus she gets vitamins and calcium.. which is what you see on her food calcium powder... Plus she also has a cuttle bone which she chews on from time to time...

I really, really, really want one of those. But I really, really, really don't have the space or time.


Ugh. Maybe I'll drop out of school and just work at Wal Mart the rest of my life so I can continue increasing my pet count.
