Molting upright

I'm quite worried for her. The last time one of my spiders decided to molt upright, it didn't make it. Fingers crossed for this one.

I just had this happen last week with an Aphonopelma sp. "Guatemala." It was a bit nerve-racking. My girl made it out all right. Never once did she turn on her back.

Nerve-racking indeed! This big girl never turned either.



She's certainly not out of the woods yet. Her abdomen isn't completely out and her legs are quivering.

Here's one decent picture. I won't be disturbing her anymore until tomorrow morning at least.

Wow. She looks great after the new molt. Do you think maybe your lights on the one that died could of generated enough heat to dry out the new exo before completing the molt?
