How old is the spider? Younger ones molt often. On a few occasions, I've had adults molt only a few months after the previous molt. I have no idea why.

Also, it may just not be very hungry. Many of my mature T's feed voraciously following a molt, but taper of quickly in the amount eaten after the first month or two.

T's molt when they are good and ready. they can molt to fix limbs and whatever else they deem a problem. I have had slings molt twice in a month and an adult molt twice in 4 months...

I still stick by my story that over a year ago my Lasiodora cristata molted twice in under two weeks. I saw it molt the first time and two days later it ate a cricket. THen it went underground and a few days later there was another fresh molt in its tunnel and it looked all white again. It was a small spiderling at the time and I was shocked and everybody made fun of me on this board saying I was a liar but it is true and I still remember it being so weird

Shed-a-thon...

The smaller the T the more often it will molt. Shedding often, in my opinion, is a good sign. The T is healthy and growing. I have had some Lasiodora slings that have shed twice in one month. Not to worry... :D

It could be for several reasons, it may have becoem more prossesive of its tank/keeper, that it feels it needs to defend it more rigoresly or it feels more trapped. aswell it could mean that a moult is upcomming

I've have an adult OBT at 6 inches her previous instar lasted 378 days. She ate a couple of criks and then 23 days later she molted again. When ever you think there is a common rule you can rely on, they break it.
