Molting Boom!

Since I moved all of my Ts into my "Hot Case" (that stays around 80F degrees)... I've had a sudden burst in molts!

Just in the past 7 days, these are the Ts I've had molt...

"Aglovale" and "Brandy"- H. maculata
"Doc" and "Sleepy" - H. incei
"Lamb" - P. cambridgei
"Rowdy" - H. gigas
"Nicole" - P. murinus
"Toad" and "Peach" - P. lugardi
"Nomad" - A. sp. mozambique
"Mickey" - P. murinus
"Mani" - C. darlingi
"Berkeley Labyrinth" - P. chordatus

That is a total of 13 molts in a single week!

and I haven't even checked to see if there any any more yet today... my P. pederseni looked like he was thinking about it last night!

That's one of the things I love about keeping T's. There is a quantifiable cause and effect relationship there. When you do something right, sometimes they let you know by molting or burrowing a bunch in one night or whatever. Good stuff.

That is AWESOME! I'm still waiting for four of mine to go for it. Maybe I will get lucky like you and have a mass molting day or week. Congrats on all the molts! PICS!!! When you get to them of course.

forrest - have you tried Craigslist? I saw a lot on there, before I got this one.

Moltar - I definitely agree! A few of my newer slings also made awesome burrows... everyone just seems 'happier' overall, in the hot case.

fatich - 4 or 5 of them molted in one day It was so cool! I kept pulling out enclosures... "This one molted!" ... "This one too!" ... "AND this one?!" ... "Okay, this is a conspiracy.. anyone else?!" ... LOL

Thats alot of molting. Most I had was six in one week. Had two molt last night, a now 1.5" b. smithi, and a now 2.5" a. sp. new river FEMALE.

That's a lot of molts! I need to get my case up and running....I'm running out of room on my table, lol.

No new molts when I checked on everyone today... Sly, the P. pederseni, is still holding out!
