My Brachypelma auratum just molted for the first time in my care today. I haven't taken the molt out yet. Is there anything special I need to do with the molt if I wanna keep it? I think it just hit the juvenile stages. I can see some adult coloration on it now. Once I think its safe to move its burrow alittle I'll get a measurement of how big he/she is. =D

Take it out as soon as possible so it's still pliable and not brittle. Position the legs how you like them, then mount.

For my especially interesting exuvium I keep extra deli cups on-hand to keep them in until I figure out what to do with the shed exoskelton.
