My weird little H. longipedum Satan webbed up its burrow for two days. Only strange thing is he wasnt in it. He set just outside the burrow.
It's not unusual for them to web themselves in but this is the first time I have had one web itself out. I dont think this one is quite right in the head. If it was a rosea i would think nothing of it.

I wanted to tap on the tank and say hey, Your outside of your burrow. I think I need to remember that these guys dont actually think and reason so there doesnt have to be a reason and probably isnt a reason why it webbed itself outside.

I think its about impossible to keep any pet for any time without forgetting its a spider. You cant interact with it like a dog. But I still try.
I was in the pet store a while back and they had a pink toe that looked starved. I got the guy over there and told him to give it some crickets before it died. He got 3 crickets and threw them in the tank and the T jumped on one and started spinning. I looked at the guy and told him he done good, I said just look its doing the happy dance. He looked at me rather strange and said well ok.
So, I think they probably think I'm some kind of weirdo.

Hasto have an evil name. This thing makes obt's look calm. I hope it calms a bit when it gets bigger. They had 2 at the pet store when I bought this one. They couldnt sell the other. It bit 5 people while it was there.
It died cause no one would open the kritter keeper to take care of it. Mine is evil but I still feed it and keep water in its cage. I guess you have to be smarter than the spider.

 All of the Haplo's i've had usually did the opposite of the norm. My newest is a sleek black monster of a H. minax female from Danny (Urban Jungles). I set up her enclosure with deep substrate, a few vines across the back, some cool little fake bamboo, and started a burrow for her in the front of the tank. But, I guess she's shy and so went to the back left corner and dug in ignoring the nice spot I started for her up front. The good thing is, she did stay against the glass so I can see what she's up to when she's in her underground condo.

My H. mac did the same thing. She made a wall of dirt with a webbed up hole in the center. I went the to bed and she was on the left side. I woke up and she was on the right and webbed the hole back up lol. Maybe she's just closing the front door to prevent burglaries.

Could be, There is a A. seemanni living upstairs from her. I dont think they can be trusted. Always hideing in the shadows and they only come out at night when no one is around. I think she hits the crack pipe to cause she has been pulling all her hair out on her butt.
