I noticed the other day that I have little white mites in my Lat's colony can these mites get transferred to my T's And Scorps if I still feed them roaches from the colony? Also what is the best way to get rid of them I have heard getting predatory mites will but will Isopods help also. Also where can you buy predatory mites from Thanks.

yea mite areeither from what your feeding them(aka grain mites) which yes will attach themselves to your Ts nd scorps...or there another carnivourous species that feed on dead or living bugs. my suugestion is to get some hyaposis miles...(aka predatory mites) from..

add them to your bin...also get isopods...about 100 should do. they will eat the remains and molts of your roaches...to keep it clean after all the hyaposis miles die off. good luck.

I have had mites in all my roach enclosures, and I did the predatory mite thing (which worked pretty well, though they weren't really that cheap or convenient). I never had any mites get on my T's. All my T enclosures are dry and don't have the kind of food mites like, I think. Or I just got lucky.

Anyway, in my experience mites are a plague of roach bins. Not so much a problem for the T's. If that gives you any hope.
