mites associated with breeding?

Is Potting soil to moist of a substrate to be used to induce breeding?

im currently trying to breed pandinus and need high humidity which results in a mite infestation every time i try.


What should i use to prevent a mite infestation but keep a moist scorpion colony!

Peat moss is quite good at resisting mold from my experience.

But you've got to make sure that there is no left overs from the emps lunch as these are what i find to be the main source of mites.
