After we had periodical cicadas a few years ago those mites got me and they were really itchy/painful for maybe a month.

I know more than pyemotes than I ever wanted to know about anything else. And combine them with the scabies mites we had a half year long party culminating in rebuilding our entire roof and eaves and my taking BB gun pot shots at squirrels. Trees -> debris -> rats -> other rodents-> nests in attic -> Oh how nice. Rivers of swarming mites coming down our walls.

After we had periodical cicadas a few years ago those mites got me and they were really itchy/painful for maybe a month.

I have a family member that was in area that had cicadas. They got the mites on them. She used hydrocortisone cream and that helped. She said first symptom was the itching afterwards was pain with the rash.
