Hi guys,
Am wondering if I can see photos of your milipedes and enclosures? I'm from Australia so photos of species from Australia would be great =D also what does everyone feed there millis? I feed mine apples bananas and sometimes carrot.
Thanks in advance

Welcome to the forum! What kind of millipedes do you have?

Since Australian species can't be exported, I don't know anything about Australian pedes, but I imagine there are some cool ones.

The only enclosure photo I have on hand at the moment is my Orthoporus ornatus tank.

The kritter keeper is about 30 cm wide and the substrate is 16 cm deep. My ornatus like carrot, surprisingly, but I haven't tried giving it to any of my other pedes. They're eating plum in that photo, but my pedes are all eating cantelope at the moment. I also give them a piece of dog kibble every few weeks.

I started with 2.5 gal tanks and plexi tops.

Then, moved to plastic tubs to accommodate offspring. The 10 gallon tank holds my A. gigas.

I have 3 millis, 8 more on the way, pretty small about 3-4cm but very cool. I have 2 species both are unidentified. 1 is black with yellow markings and is related to the flat back mili gene the other 2 are the same as the ones on your photo cavedweller except smaller. All are kept in a large fish tank with 20 cm sub (exo terra tree fern substrate) with leaf lite and logs pretty much exactly the same as your set up shebeen. Here in Australia we have some pretty amazing milis but they don't compare to some of the exotics you guys have access too, so lucky :) .

Ooh, I know nothing about Aussie pedes! Is that adult size? Are the 8 more you're getting the same species?

Yeh they are full grown, these guys are not giant rainforest milipedes though. I'm not sure what the new millis are, they were thrown in with a spider I wanted :)

Those are very cool 'pedes! I've never seen flat ones those colors! From the two on the left hand side is the one on top also a flat millipede?
