My microtityus fundorai, I think the smallest species in the world has just given birth to 5 young and healthy babies! They are absolutely tiny and are currently snacking on springtails.

The husbandry for these little guys couldn't be more simple! They are extremely tolerant of arid environments, and even gave birth in those conditions. Babies are relatively large compared to my adult female.

Here are some pictures,

Wow! That is pretty amazing to see, congratulations on the brood! You'll definitely have to keep this thread updated on their progress, growth rate, etc. As all the species that I have ever bred have had new borns that are larger than your adult female, I'm rather curious to hear about any considerations or precautions you need to take with the husbandry of such a small species.

Awesome!

I might not be able to raise them for long, because I'm heading to college where I probably can't keep them. My parents are also unwilling to take care of my room full of animals, so I'm probably going to sell/ give them away. But based on the behavior I have observed, they do well in communal groups, with a slightly dry substrate. They are currently feeding on springtails and are in the first instar. I didn't even know that my female was gravid until I did routine maintenance every 2 weeks, which goes to show how resilient and easy it is to breed this species.

Nice species! Congratulations.
In my experience, springtails don't provide a very nutritious staple food source, which might cause them to crash after a few weeks. I would choose for the smallest hatchling crickets. Prekilled is also possible if you can'tget crickets small enough.
