Mexican Burrowing Cave Roaches

I' m got some Mexican Burrowing Cave Roaches today. Anyone knows the scientific name of these guys?

There is no such common name officially listed. If you bought them as that, the person selling them may have made it up. However, if you post a pic, I can tell you exactly what they are (or not). It may be possible that what you have is a Byrsotria fumigata or Byrsotria rothi though....

Pycnoscelus sp. are found circumtropically and I have found P.surinamensis in southern Mexico myself. I mention Byrsotria because they have been referred to as Mexican burrowing before. That pic inthe link abouve could be any of 15 roach species...its hard to see it well in that photo and it looks to be a nymph, not an adult.

It does look a little like P.surinamensis in the pic, really blurry though. I've got P.surinamensis in my yard. I'm curious about what you have.

I have spent alot of time over the years studying cockroaches and have 3 different Pycnoscelus sp. in culture, and that is not an adult. Adult sizes vary by thier living conditions, but they can range from 0.7 inch to 1.2 inches in length and are winged.
