I was wondering about the various ways to package and ship crickets, roaches, mealworms... just feeders in general. Also, where do you buy your shipping supplies? Thanks! :)

Crickets and roaches in plastic deli containers (tall ones) with lots of egg crate for them to crawl on. Make sure to tape your lids on.

Meal worms in tightly closed plastic containers stuffed with oats.

Heat packs or cold packs depending on the season, available online.

Containers

For roaches here is one company's products...

...plus cut up smaller peices of egg cartons to place inside and a very small piece of potato or apple for moisture in the warmer months. I would also use the wide Scotch CLEAR BOXING TAPE around the lid after everybody is inside and ready for shipping.

Maybe others in this forum would post their sources for shipping containers to help each other out for information.

What about non-feeder insects such as assassin bugs or something of that sort? I'm not planning on shipping any, just wondering how it's done.
