was out taking a little hike with the wife and daughter..saw a cool mushroom....then saw these on the same fallen tree.
and yes i forgot all about the mushroom.

I'm thrown for a loop- those look almost exactly like burying beetles, but the antennae are different.

the markings do look very similar.
