Mealworms last forever right?

If im not mistaken mealworms last basically forever in the fridge if fed every now and then?

Mealworms can last a few months in the fridge, warming to room temperature between refrigerations for feeding and taking in moisture, but eventually [usually within about a year] you do need to let them warm up and progress through a life cycle if you intend to keep a colony going.

Thanks for the info im planing on buying some mealworms in bulk and put them in the fridge as I don’t think it is possible for me to keep a colony

Good. That seems reasonable. Mealworms are cheap to buy. They're also extremely easy to keep as a colony if you ever change your mind.
