I have about 500 Extatosoma tiaratum eggs from my one female. She died yesterday of old age (the males died months ago).

Can anyone give me any tips on caring for the eggs? I know they can take up to 2 years to hatch. What is the normal success rate for hatching? I'll only be wanting a dozen or so babies, so how many eggs should I keep? Dry or humid? Warm or cold?

Thanks in advance.

i dont know about success rates, but we hatched ours successfully at the zoo by putting the eggs on sand, keeping it moist (light spray daily) and then just waited and waited.

I keep mine on paper towels, spraying them irregularly. Me careful as some of mine did end up with mold on them from over spraying.
