Does anybody have a good closeup of a Huntsman so I know what to look for? I'm thinking about trying to find one and don't want to mistake it for a brown recluse. You know it's funny they say we don't have brown recluses in Florida, but my neighbor got nailed by one a year ago. :? How big of a cage should a huntsman have and what kind of plants should it have?

Can you tell a great dane from a chihuahua? Then you should have no problem telling a huntsman from a recluse! Seriously, an adult huntsman has a legspan that's probably 5 to 8 times that of a recluse.
Did you neigbor actually see the spider that bit him, or did the dictor just diagnose it from the bite? It's impossible to ID a spider by looking at a bite wound!, but doctors tend to blame an necrotric bite on the recluse. Even so, recluses do end up in areas outside their range by hitchhiking in shipping crates etc.
