This is kinda random, but I'm taking my pet wolf spider to the fair tomorrow for the pet show, but it's going to be really hot. Is there a maximum safe temperature for her? I plan on putting some ice/ice packs in/around her habitat, but I'm not sure how hot she can be without dying. Does anyone know a range of safe temperatures for wolf spiders?(btw I live in Iowa, if that helps)

Depends on species and size to an extent. Will the enclosure be in the sun or the shade? If it's in the shade the spider will be able to take hotter temps because it's sheltered from the sun. The ice packs around the habitat will help keep things cooler though. Amount of ventilation is also important. More ventilation = can take higher temps because it's not allowing the air to become too stagnant and basically steaming the spider.

I would definitely keep the enclosure out of direct sunlight. The greenhouse effect will rapidly make the temperature fatal.

Applies to any and all enclosures in the sun. They become ovens, deadly to any animal.
