I purchased a Theraphosa blondi at a convention at the beginning of May. The man told me it was a female for sure, so I paid the $60 and went home with a happy new spider. It ate a mouse the day after I got it, and another one a few weeks later. It is now July and it has refused meals ever since the last one. I looked in it's burrow yesterday, only to find a molted tarantula! And none the less, it is a mature male! I'm so relieved that it was just waiting to molt, because I thought I had a very sick spider for a while. I thought I would share the news!
P.S. I'll post some pictures later tonight.
