I've got 3 adults (seems like either 1.2 or .3 since there are tons of eggs) but none of the eggs they've laid have hatched. I pulled some out into an empty deli cup and am misting every other day. Do they need more humidity, or do they just take a long time to hatch?

are you positive they are eggs and not poo? or eggs from a hitchhiking pest on them?

eggs should be attached to something and probably are laid in a cluster, though i guess some of the larger 'sins do just kind of plop eggs out randomly, now that i think about it

crap lousy, that reminds me to check on my local 'sin eggs

also, how long ago did they lay eggs? some species from more temperate/northerly locations have eggs that take months and months to hatch and might need weather queues and stuff

good luck with eggs! i would love to see some of the local USA assassins make it into the hobby. masked hunters are definitely one of more more interesting species... at least when they are immature :)

They're definitely eggs. Their poo looks like globs of... Poo. lol
I've heard they take around 3 weeks to hatch and they just passed the 3-week mark, so maybe they're just a little late.

temperature and other environmental conditions can definitely affect the hatch out time. of course, it's hard to say exactly what conditions are affecting what :/

Hooray! They're hatching! :D
I guess they just needed more time. :p
Has anyone kept the nymphs with the adults in a communal-like setup?

hey, congratulations!

i know some assassins can be kept in really simple mass communal cages as long as you feed them enough. no idea about masked hunters specifically, though

i would guess the babies are too small for the adults to worry about initially, but that predation from each other and early mature individuals would be the risk, if problems are going to occur
