Hello, i was wondering if anyone has seen this type of what I assume is a Mantis, At first I thought it was a spider about to crawl on me until I noticed
its small head and Mantis like arms.
The photos are not the best as he bobbed back and forth the whole time, thanks in advance for any information, Shane

What you have photographed is an assassin bug (Hemiptera:Reduviidae), possibly Stenolemus edwardsii. It does resemble a mantis because assassin bugs have raptorial front legs too, but manitds never have long antennae.

That's the wildest looking assassin bug I've ever seen.
