Revieved a new H. Membracea and I moved it into its new home, but its basically laying on its side now. Like it's gone all rigid.

I assume its not dead cos a few legs moved while I rehoused it, but it hasn't moved since, could it be in pre molt? Or is it playing dead?
Any tips on how to rescue it!?

Thanks

I’m hoping it wasn’t molting when you removed it from the cup. They go rigid while molting.

Yes, just recieved it. Was very stiff on arrival, i imagine it tried to molt during transit and it went wrong...

It doesn’t look like it was in the process of molting. What are the temps it was shipped in?

The company has refunded me, so I'm ok (TSS in the UK)
Its been stiff since I got it. Its 100% dead now, even after trying to re hang it upside down gently :(

It was warm when shipped. It came with another mantis (peacock) which is thriving!

Just unlucky i think, I hear this i common...

How warm is warm? If it was over 85°F then that would be your issue if there was no cold pack.

It would have been close to 85f after being packed well! Didn't think of that... it was a hot day, but that's with me in shorts outside with the breeze!
