I was going through my tarantulas one by one feeding them, and giving them water. I got down to one of the h maculta slings before I knew I knew it jumped out of the portion cup landed on the roach tub and was crawling on the floor lol had me backing up and trying to catch it in a portion cup. I did catch it and got it back in its home. Little thing gave me a work out I was not expecting.

Yeah... my P. irminia "teleported" earlier tonight when I took the top off it's enclosure to feed it. It was on the top of my dresser before I had finished processing what was going on.

Those darn arboreals, Psalmopoeus, Heterscodra, Poecilotheria, Stromatopelma......... they're all lightning.

I remember thinking no way a T can be that fast. Then my maculata got out in a transfer. Yeah, they are that fast!!!

I was entertained watching my P. Rufilata 'teleport' around its cage because I turned on a nearby light....I don't know that I saw it move so much as saw brief flashes of it in various spots before it finally settled in behind its cork bark... :D

Got to be just amusing and not heart attack causing since the sling was contained, but I've never seen anything move that fast!!! Gives me some idea of what to beware of when feeding / rehousing, etc. {D

And never let anyone tell you that arboreals can't climb the side of a tub. My cambridgei gave us a nice workout when we re-housed her a while back!!

I don't think there is a better word than 'teleport' to describe how fast they are. My adrenaline rush is only slightly behind them when they do that. LOL
