Is it an issue to pair a MM tarantula that is larger than the female? Does this pose any threat to the safety of the female or is it a cause for concern? The species I am pairing is Pamphobeteus mascara.

More of a question of mass too than legspan . It’s rare a female gets attacked or killed but last time I heard about it happening was a type of avic . Actual breeders here can help give advice. I haven’t bred anything I ages never had success.

Mature females are usually larger than the males. How do you know your female is mature?

I've tried pairing a bigger MM than my female in the past. They were both very responsive but the male never inserted after multiple attempts.

Females can be responsive and can actually lay sacs even when they're not in their prime to breed.

Based on her size and molt. She hit roughly 75% of her full size and her spermathcae appears sclereotized.
