I am about to place a juvenile male and female emperor scorpions together in a 10 gal tank. Will they get along if I put enough hides in the tank?

also, just how large are these?

if they are only juveniles they might not need a 10 gallon.

I'm not really sure all I i know is that they are juveniles. They get here Wednesday. I'm just trying to get their new home ready.

They'll probably be ok. Nothing is ever absolute with scorpions.

They're always communal until they're not.

No, I don't have any pictures yet, but I will have some soon. If they mate and she becomes gravid will she be aggressive to him?

she might, she might not be. personally I would sepreate her from the male if she were gravid just in case.

oh, they can't become gravid until they reach sexual maturity so you shouldn't have anything to worry about yet.

One more question. Can I add to the community of scorpions overtime, or would I have to "reset the territories" of the scorpions before introducing new members. Some how I feel that the least amount of males I have in per colony is probably best. right?

you can add to the colony as long as there is still some room. most people go by the rule 5 gallons per scorpion.

"Resetting" territories is a good idea. The best way is to take everyone out, churn up the substrate and rearrange the hides, and put everyone back in.
