Before I say anything I will say this. Yes, I am an underage drinker and I did get drunk lastnight (currently hungover).

Anyway, I remember taking one of my Emperors out of it's enclosure and let it walk on my arm for a bit, he also fell off a couple of times and some how I accidently spilled some beer on him. It took me a while to realise that what i am doing isnt a very good idea so I put him away and fell asleep. I woke up just earlier and checked on my scorpion, he isnt moving all that much, his tail is stretched out, and moves only when i pick him up, I lifted his tail and when i let it go, it just drops straight down. What do you guys or gals think is going on here?

By chance were you also "showing off" to friends at this time? It may very well die simply from the stress nevermind the alcohol. All I can say is be thakful it wasn't an L.q. or you may very well have been the one in worse shape.

Mate, you made a mistake , but I hope he pulls through.
Hopefully you will learn from this, we all make mistakes from time to time.
Let us know if he recovers.

Fell off a couple of times, accidentally spilled some beer on him? Sounds to me like it´s kicking the bucket and i think that it actually is better that way for it.

how 'bout you IMMEDIATELY stop bugging him and leave him in complete peace for a full week? any "checking on him" you're doing by poking, prodding, lifting the tail, etc., is just making things worse! just MAYBE, you might want to usher him into his burrow if he's too dazed and confused to find it... then LEAVE HIM BE!

cheers! :D

Well here's to hoping you don't get anything hotter than a Hadogenes as your next scorp... Just cos your an underage drinker doesn't mean you have to be an irresponsible one.
Just incase this is what your worried about scorps don't sting themselves to death when they have alcohol spilt on them.

Ha I always get drunk and play with my pets. Can't say I have spilled beer on any, which is good because most of my pets are amphibians. Last time I got drunk I was <edit> with one of my horned frogs and for some reason I thought it was absolutely hilarious when it would bite me and latch on. Anyways, hopefully it pulls through.

The best thing you could do for your scorpion is leave it alone. I would say how immature and idiotic what you did was, but i suppose i have little to say because i have made stupid decisions in my life. The thing about stupid decisions is now you have to deal with the consequences, thats just part of it, and if your scorpion dies then just suck it up as a life experience, and you will be wiser next time you decide to drink, or not, who knows? What i do know is that if you decide to drink you should just leave your inverts alone, as many have said you should be glad it was just a P. imp and not something like an LQ or any of the fat tails, you would probably be a lot more sorry right now! So, seeing how idiotic and rash your decisions have been, i would stay away from hots for your own well being and the well being of the scorpions! Good luck with your scorp though, hope it pulls through...(its probably just drunk anyways)...

...this is why there is a legal drinking age. (not that I, personally, ever obeyed it...)

But anyway, hopefully ( :wall: ) your scorp just has alcohol poisoning and will recover soon.

LOL its funny, I did almost everything you all have said before I even read it. I placed it under a hide and left it alone. I am one of those who learns from my mistakes and this one is no exception. I rarely bug my scorpions, but because of the ammount of alchol I drank (around 6+ Shots of Vodka, around 4 Shots of Tequila, ALOT of beer) i lost my good sense of judgement, but It's still not a good excuse.

Yes, I was showing it off to my friends, they kept thinking ALL scorpions are agressive and dangerous so I pulled out my favorite scorp to prove them wrong, in other words, educating them. It was my 20th birthday yesterday and went wild with the alcohol. >.< Ah, well, lets hope my scorp pulls it through. Live and learn.

Im already aware of that. A side note, I just dont handle ANY scorpion, the only scorpion i would handle are the non-deadlys. Im not exactly irresponsible when I am drunk also. Maybe sometimes, but it's rare.

That's what my last two scorps were like before I never saw them move again.
