I found this Small Milkweed Bug at the local park, which is odd, because there have never been any Milkweeds around there, I figured it got blown in from somewhere else, I took it home and took a few pictures, then released it in my yard where it had a better chance of finding food. Looks like Lygaeus kalmii based on the pictures on bugguide.net.

I would say that it is. It looks like those I have here. They probably hibernate soon after the local milkweeds go into dormancy. But I still don't know how to winter my captive babies. Has anyone here ever done it?
