Good luck with those. To date, I have had no long-term success raising them.

Cheers,
Dave

me too...on the 4 broods I've had, only about 10 specimens are alive and adult now.

My scorplings died as well :( , there’s obviously an environmental factor that needs to be perfect for success with these guys.

Eric,

Since you seem to have the most success at rearing this species...What are the conditions you kept them in?

I have a feeling that humidity levels are the keey to rearing these guys. All of mine died too.

Hi,

I raised about 12 babies to adulthood and lost only 3 of them. Two died as subadults but I don´t know the reason. I´m keeping mine at daytime temperatures of about 30°C/86 F and 27°C/80 F nighttimes. More or less constant humidity but I´m letting it dry out a little bit from time to time. The adults have all mated successfully recently.

Regards
Alex

Hi,
I also think that humidity and ventilation of the terrarium are important to keep this species.
Since I keep them more dry, I have less deads.
Actually, as I do not know the ideal conditions to keep this species, I humidify only the ground in a part of the terrarium, let the other part totally dry, and put a bark on each part ;) . Since I do that I have less deads.
I'm not sure but I think too high humidity and to low ventilation is harmful to L.mucronatus.
Cheers,
Eric

In my experience ventilation is the key to keep the young alive and also the ability to offer them diferent levels of humidity (the way Eric does it, is the best).

Wow! It is a kind of scorpions from South China, (mainly in Hainan Island).
Congratulations!
