They're gorgeous...But are they fertile?

Even "hardy" lunas rarely survive a single summer.
The "regular" lunas do "come back" next year, but those pink ones might not...

So...

While their images are within our reach...

These gorgeous creatures should be "reproduced" in lasting materials...

Because...

What gorgeous works of art they would be.

And what lovely jewelry.

I'm not sure if the hybrids are fertile, if crossed with another hybrid or one pure species, that is a good question. Being many are able to hybridize it might be possible. My question is when the 2 parents eat different plants, how do you know which food plant the caterpillar can eat, clearly they figured it out if the adult is shown

Edit: found this small bit of info on raising hybrids http://www.actias.de/23392-graellsia-isabellae-×-actias-luna-hybrid.html
