Lucanidae Colony Ideas

I'm interested in setting up a 10 gal tank for a colony of beetles to keep, I was wondering if anyone had experience keeping these kinds of beetle, had species they recommend and/or where I can buy them from.

Hi Richie,

Stags don't do great in a colony setting. You may be able to pull it off but you might have to keep them busy with food in different spots of the tank (so they spend their time eating instead of fighting).

You could try "Bess Beetles" or most Rhinoceros beetles (these would do better as a "colony").
