Lp wave???

i got a very small lp yesterday roughtly 2.5 inches dls and i picked it up and i notice when it walked in my hand it kinda does a wave thing ive seen avics do this but never heard of an lp doing this any incite or am i worrying bout nothing thank you

Normal T behavior, I have my G pulchra and B smithi do this all the time.

do you mean with their front legs ..... a wave motion like people at a baseball game? my lp did that all the time so it MUST be normal.. havent seen any other ts doin that... YET lol but im sure ill find some{D

ok cool thank ya. i too have a b, smthi she doesnt do that though and ive never really heard much of other than avics doing this behavior so thats why i was asking:8o

Tarantulas have chemosensory receptrs at the tip of the tibia on their palps, leg pair 1, and sometimes leg pair 2. They essentially use this organ to "tatse/smell" their environment. The "waving" motion is your T tasting/smelling the air in an unfamiliar environment.

I think it's also for tactile sensing. They're feeling their way around. Their eyesight is very poor so they wave their legs around like we do with our hands in the dark.
