I've been offering crix and dubias to my fairly new 2" L. parahybana juvenile every other day or so since I got it on Oct 14th. Never even bothered with them. Finally, tonight about 20 minutes ago I threw in a 1/2" dubia and as soon as the roach made a move...WHAM!!!...not even a chance!
Here's the video, it stinks cause it grabbed the roach before the camera could even turn on so it's just a video of my T holding the roach while enjoying it as the roach moves its antennae around:

Anyways, here's a quick photo I snapped as I celebrated this joyous occasion:

YAY! First to comment on the video. LOL!

Very cute. I was excited to see mine eat, too. Wasn't really expecting them to eat only 20 minutes after un-packing.

This one went twelve days without eating and I also have a B. smithi sling that's about .75 from the same shipment that still hasn't eaten either but I'm 90% sure it's about to molt. It's just reassuring as a keeper to see them eat and know that they're healthy.

I know how you feel Tom , I always worry about my slings till I see them eat their first meal . Then I relax a little , at least till their first molt , then I worry all over again it they'll molt ok lol

EXACTLY! My first T that I got is an A. hentzi and it's only 1/3". It's just so small that it's hard to believe that it could go any time without eating. Slings just seem so fragile but so far they've actually been quite hardy. Can't wait for the B. smithi to molt either! None of my T's have molted since they have been in my possession. Then again, I just joined the hobby (or addiction!) about a month ago.
