Unbelievable AP news article. Read what this guy Furbee says. The last paragraph at least:
School open despite recluse spiders
September 15, 2006
ANDERSON, Ind. -- Brown recluse spiders won't shut down Killbuck Elementary School, despite their poisonous reputation.
Classes are continuing as normal at the school three weeks after officials first found the spiders in the building.
A poison control expert saw no need to close the school because of the spiders.
''There is no imminent danger to kids,'' said Brent Furbee of the Indiana Poison Control center. ''It's very unusual for people to be bitten.''
Furbee said the brown recluse's bite most commonly causes a rash and in some cases was similar to a deep burn.
