My usambara was finally recaptured after spending a little over a month loose in my critter building. I moved furniture and combed over the entire thing numerous times, but she had to be in the one place I didn't think to look. I moved my plastic shelf unit and an orange molt fell out of one of the pipes connecting the shelves. She had made herself a little burrow in there and was probably there the whole time I was looking for her, go figure. She's now back in custody, and really doesn't look bad for being gone a month. Here she is:

Thats great news you found it after a month and that it moulted. How much did it grow?

I'm not sure I would like to have my Usambra roaming freely in my apartment

She didn't seem to grow a whole lot, but now she's probably 3.5-4 inches.

I'm glad you found her.

Once you found her, did she give you any problems catching her and getting her back in her home?

Congrats on finding you Usambara. That would not be the species I would want running around loose. You're right it doesn't look bad for being out a month.

Once she stopped running from me, she wasn't hard to contain.

Cool

That is really cool that you found her without getting bit or her getting hurt.

Way to go.
